INTRODUCTION
The AC line splitter is a helpful testing device for electrician. Electrician can measure the current with clamp meter through the X1 and X10 measuring rings. X1 is 1:1 measurement, and X10 is ten times (1:10) of the actual current, which is helpful for small current measurement.
This device also combine the function of socket tester and GFCI tester, which means electrician can use this tester to test socket and load at the same time.

OPERATION
A Current Measurement
- Plug the Line Splitter into the 120V socket.
- Plug the electrical device to the Line Splitter.
- Clamp the clamp meter around the Current Measurement Ring (X1 or X10)
- If clamp around the X1 ring, the reading from the clamp meter is the actual current value.
- If Clamp around the X10 ring, the reading from the clamp meter divided by 10 is the actual current
WARNING: Do not use the Line Splitter for more than 10 minutes with 15A
maximum current loading.
B Voltage Measurement
- Plug the Line Splitter into the 120V socket
- Connect the testing probes of the voltage meter to the Voltage Measurement Points.
- Reading from the voltage meter is the actual voltage.
C Receptacle Test
- Always test on a known good circuit before use.
- If the tester indicates any problems, immediately refer them to a qualified electrician. Moreover, avoid attempting repairs yourself. Additionally, ensure a professional evaluates all issues for safety.
- First, plug the tester into the outlet. Then, observe the lights, which will indicate the circuit condition: Correct, Open Ground, Open Neutral, Open Hot, Hot/Ground Reversed, or Hot/Neutral Reversed. Finally, take action based on the results.
- The tester will not indicate the quality of the ground connection, 2hot wires in a circuit, a combination of defects, a combination of defects, or reversal of ground and neutral conductors.
D GFCI Test
- Before using the tester, press the TEST button on the installed GFCI receptacle, the GFCI should trip.
If it does not, do not use the circuit and call a qualified electrician. If it does trip, press the RESET button on the receptacle and plug in the tester. - Verify that the wiring is correct.
- Press and hold the test button on the tester for at least 6 seconds, the indicator lights on the tester will shut off when the GFCI trips.
- If the circuit does not trip, either the GFCI is operable but the wiring is incorrect, or the wiring is correct and the GFCI is inoperable.
- When testing a GFCI installed in a 2-wire (non-grounded) system, the tester may indicate a faulty GFCI. If this occurs, press the TEST and RESET buttons on the GFCI to determine proper operation.
- GFCI test current is 6~9mA.
