Fuel filter tool removal

Fuel filter tool removal requires this two-piece wrench set for diesel housings. First, slide the 50.3mm small tool over the sensor cable to engage the cover. Next, turn it counter-clockwise to remove the sensor safely. Afterward, fit the 86mm large wrench onto the housing. Finally, use a 1/2" drive to apply torque counter-clockwise. Consequently, you can replace filters on Ford, Mazda, and other diesel engines without damaging sensors.

  • Filter wrench size 86 mm x 15 flutes x 1/2" square drive.
  • Sensor wrench size 50.3 mm x 8 sides.

Instruction:

  • Insert the small tool through the sensor cable and fit the tool on the sensor cover (Fig. 1)
  • Turn the small tool counter clockwise to remove the sensor cover.
  • Insert and fit the big tool to the fuel filter housing and turn the big tool counter clockwise to remove the fuel filter housing (Fig. 2)
