Hub slide hammer

Hub slide hammer kits like the CAB930035 TAIWAN CALIBRE facilitate the safe removal of stubborn inner CV axles. Secure the 48mm or 63mm threaded fork adapter behind the inner boot on the axle shaft. Attach the heavy-duty steel slide hammer to the 5/8" x 18 threads. Use the hammer's sliding weight to generate torque, pulling the axle free while protecting expensive aluminum transmission cases from damage.
